The Worcester County Veterans Memorial at Ocean Pines will participate in Wreaths Across America.

Sponsor a wreath, for just $15, and help us to remember a veteran during the holiday season.

Wreaths Across America began as the Arlington Wreath Project in 1992. The Worcester wreath company of Harrington Maine, finding themselves with an excess of wreaths nearing the holiday, donated them all to Arlington National cemetery and a local Veterans cemetery.

In 2006 the project expanded to cover as many Veterans cemeteries as was possible. Now the Worcester wreath company sends 10,000 wreaths a year to Arlington National Cemetery and 2500 to a local Veterans cemetery in Harrington Maine. Wreaths will be placed simultaneously in more than 250 cemeteries including 24 off-shore locations. One such off-shore location is Normandy Beach cemetery in France.

This year, the Worcester County Veterans Memorial at Ocean Pines joins the initiative and will place wreaths at our local Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, Maryland.

Join with us in our support of this project. Wreaths will be placed at 12 noon, on December 12, in all locations.

Complete a sponsorship form and return it, with a check made payable to Wreaths Across America, to: WC Veterans Memorial Foundation, P.O. Box 1576, Ocean Pines, MD, 21811.
